Kinusaiga Workshop - August 17th 2026





Turn your fabric scraps into beautiful works of art in this fun and beginner-friendly Kinusaiga workshop! Kinusaiga is a Japanese-inspired art form that creates the look of patchwork without any sewing. Using simple tools, you'll learn how to tuck fabric into cut grooves to create a stunning finished design.

If you've been looking for a creative way to use your growing collection of fabric scraps, this class is the perfect scrap buster! Bring your favorite prints or dig through our selection—we'll scraps available for everyone to use.

Materials to bring:

  • X-Acto knife
  • Seam ripper
  • Sharp fabric scissors
  • Fabric scraps (cotton quilting fabric works best)

No sewing machine is required, making this a relaxing and enjoyable project for quilters, crafters, and anyone looking to try something new. The instructor will have several paper templates to choose from! Take a look at some of the templates to get ideas:

 


You'll leave with a beautiful piece of fabric art and the skills to create more at home!

We are hosting two individual sessions of the workshop on August 17th. 
Session A: 10:15am - 12:15pm
Session B: 12:45pm - 2:45pm
