Introduction to Stack & Whack - October 5th, 12th & 19th.

In this fun and engaging class, you'll learn how to transform a single large-scale print fabric into stunning, one-of-a-kind designs by carefully stacking, cutting, and rearranging identical repeats.

  Perfect for confident beginners and experienced quilters alike, this class will guide you through fabric selection, matching repeats, precision cutting, and block assembly. You'll be amazed at how each block creates a unique pattern while using just one focal fabric.

Whether you've always wanted to try Stack & Whack or are looking for a new quilting adventure, you'll leave with the skills and confidence to create eye-catching quilts that are sure to impress.

This class is taught by Ken Hegge, an experienced instructor who has taught the Stack & Whack technique dozens of times. Ken's approachable teaching style and wealth of knowledge make this class enjoyable for both first-time Stack & Whack quilters and those looking to refine their skills.

This class will take place over three days, October 5th, 12th & 19th. 

Materials: 
Sewing machine
1/4" sewing machine foot
Flat headed pins
Rotary cutter
Fussy Cutting Mirror - can be very helpful when picking out your fabric! 
Background fabric - Black or coordinating color 
Focal fabric: You'll want to choose fabric that repeats itself at certain intervals. See the chart below for the recommended repeat and how many repeats on the fabric. As far as the print itself, big florals work great in this technique.

6" Print Repeat 16 Repeats
