Patchwork Kicks Class - September 28th 2026

Take your quilting beyond the quilt and create a pair of custom quilted sneakers you'll love to wear! In this fun and unique class, you'll transform your favorite fabrics into stylish, one-of-a-kind shoes that are as comfortable as they are eye-catching.

Whether you choose a scrappy patchwork design, seasonal prints, florals, or bold modern fabrics, your Patchwork Kicks will reflect your own personal style. During class, you'll learn how to prepare your fabric, assemble the shoe uppers, and construct your sneakers using the all-inclusive kit provided. By the end of class, you'll have completed at least one shoe and have all the skills needed to finish the second at home.

• All-inclusive shoe kit (includes everything to make the shoes) - Included in the price of the class. 
• Appropriate amount of fabric for each element of shoe uppers, refer to image below. 

• Sewing Awl, punch & eyelet setter - included in kit
• Good cutting scissors
• Standard sewing supplies (sewing machine, thread, pins, rotary cutter, scissors, etc)
• Wonderclips - may find helpful to hold pattern piece for identification, not required
• Thimble - may find helpful when assembling your shoes.

Our sample shoes were made with eyelets and colored shoe laces purchased from Amazon. The kit comes with simple round metal eyelets and white laces. You can customize this, too!  

If between sizes, we recommend going the next size up.
i.e., if you wear 9.5, choose 10. 

Pre-Class Homework:
Gather your fabric. If making patchwork shoes, sew together your fabric.
The shoe kit will ship to The Quilt Barn and will be available on the day of the class. 

• The class fee must be paid in full at the time of registration. You are not considered registered until the fee is paid. Class sizes are limited; we recommend early sign-ups.

• If a class is full, you are welcome to get on the wait list to be notified if there is a cancellation. Open seats are on a first come first serve basis. 

• Supplies or materials required for class are not included in the class fee unless noted.  If a pattern or special tool is listed, each student is required to purchase their own.

• Please be aware that some classes require homework prior to class day.

• If you cannot attend a class after registering, please let us know 7 days beforehand in order to receive a refund. If you notify us in less than 7 days, you will receive a store credit. No call and no show will not be refunded or credited. Patchwork Kicks shoe class kits are NOT refundable.

• The class schedule, size and cancellations are at the discretion of the instructor(s) and The Quilt Barn.  Any class not meeting the minimum enrollment may be canceled. 

• Classes that are canceled by the instructor or The Quilt Barn will be refunded in full. Only students with paid registrations will be notified of cancellations or changes. 

• The safety of our customers is very important to us.  In the event of inclement weather, please call or message the shop before coming in. 

• Gift Certificate values cannot be used for classes
