Introduction to English Paper Piecing (EPP)

Curious about English Paper Piecing (EPP)? Join us for this beginner-friendly class and discover the relaxing art of hand stitching fabric shapes over paper templates to create beautifully precise patchwork designs. In this introduction, you'll learn the basics of preparing your pieces, basting, stitching techniques, and how to join shapes together. No prior hand-sewing experience is necessary—just bring your enthusiasm and enjoy a fun, portable quilting project you can work on anywhere!

Each student will receive a kit (inluded in your sign up cost) with the following:
- 10 Pre punched 1" Hexi Papers
- Wooden cuticle pusher
- Milliners Needle Size 11
- Two strips of fabric for your hexi

The instructor will have Auriful 50w thread for students. 


Materials to bring: 
- Sharp scissors
- EPP Glue Stick - Sue Daley or Sewline brand
- You can bring fat quarters of your choosing if you have fabric in mind
- If you'd like to bring cordinating thread, choose Auriful 50w 

The Quilt Barn Class Policies

• The class fee must be paid in full at the time of registration. You are not considered registered until the fee is paid. Class sizes are limited; we recommend early sign-ups.

• If a class is full, you are welcome to get on the wait list to be notified if there is a cancellation. Open seats are on a first come first serve basis. 

• Supplies or materials required for class are not included in the class fee unless noted.  If a pattern or special tool is listed, each student is required to purchase their own.

• Please be aware that some classes require homework prior to class day.

• If you cannot attend a class after registering, please let us know 7 days beforehand in order to receive a refund. If you notify us in less than 7 days, you will receive a store credit. No call and no show will not be refunded or credited. 

• The class schedule, size and cancellations are at the discretion of the instructor(s)  Any class not meeting the minimum enrollment may be canceled. 

• Classes that are canceled by the instructor or The Quilt Barn will be refunded in full. 

• The safety of our customers is very important to us.  In the event of inclement weather, please call or message the shop before coming in. 

• Gift certificate values cannot be used for classes.
