Patchwork Kicks Class - May 30th 2026
Let your personality show through in every step you take! Choose to make scrappy pieced fabric to cut your tennis shoes uppers out of, use Red/White/Blue fabric for 4th of July shoes, Christmas fabric, the choices are endless!
The shoe kits will be ordered from Patchwork Kicks specifically in your size and preferred sole color.
At checkout, add your size and sole color in the note section.
During the class, you will go through all the steps to prep your shoe tops and at least complete one shoe.
Materials:
- All-inclusive shoe kit (includes everything to make the shoes) - Included in the price of the class.
- Appropriate amount of fabric for each element of shoe uppers, refer to image below.
Tools
- Sewing Awl, punch & eyelet setter - included in kit
- Good cutting scissors
- Standard sewing supplies (sewing machine, thread, pins, rotary cutter, scissors, etc)
- Wonderclips - may find helpful to hold pattern piece for identification, not required
Our sample shoes were made with eyelets and colored shoe laces purchased from Amazon. The kit comes with simple round metal eyelets and white laces. You can customize this, too!
If between sizes, we recommend going the next size up.
i.e., if you wear 9.5, choose 10.
Pre-Class Homework:
Gather your fabric. If making patchwork shoes, sew together your fabric.
The shoe kit will ship to The Quilt Barn and will be available on the day of the class.
The cost of the all-inclusive kit ($84.99) and shipping are non-refundable.
The Quilt Barn Class Policies:

The class fee must be paid in full at the time of registration. You are not considered registered until the fee is paid. Class sizes are limited; we recommend early sign-ups.

If a class is full, you are welcome to get on the wait list to be notified if there is a cancellation. Open seats are on a first come first serve basis.

Supplies or materials required for class are not included in the class fee unless noted. If a pattern or special tool is listed, each student is required to purchase their own.

Please be aware that some classes require homework prior to class day.

If you cannot attend a class after registering, please let us know 7 days beforehand in order to receive a refund. If you notify us in less than 7 days, you will receive a store credit. No call and no show will not be refunded or credited. Patchwork Kicks shoe class kits are NOT refundable.

The class schedule, size and cancellations are at the discretion of the instructor(s) and The Quilt Barn. Any class not meeting the minimum enrollment may be canceled.

Classes that are canceled by the instructor or The Quilt Barn will be refunded in full. Only students with paid registrations will be notified of cancellations or changes.

| Instructor Bio: | I can't remember not sewing. I grew up with my mom sewing and remember being in the room with her cutting fabric for Barbies. I made my first quilt in High School. In 2004, I took the plunge and bought a computerized long-arm quilting machine. I have enjoyed watching new quilters grow and improve through each quilt they have done. In 2024, I started sewing clothing again. I love how you can customize it to not only fit you better, but also style it after your own personality. |
